How to Find Your WiFi Password when You Forgot It

Many people around the world are not able to remember their Wi-Fi password, whenever a guest comes to their home and ask for the wireless password, they don’t remember. Most of the users are naturally just save their passwords in their PCs or MAC, so they could not remember it, but mostly your PCs operating system corrupt and you need to reactive your wifi on your PC. In all these situations, we gathered very huge information to recover or find your Wi-Fi password, so you can give it to your guests or can be utilized it in other activities.
 
Checking Saved Passwords in Windows:

1. Open the Network Connections in Control Panel:
Windows spares the passwords for the systems that you associate with. To see your spared passwords, open the Network Connections window by right-clicking on your system symbol in the System Tray and selecting "Open Network and Sharing Center". Click the "Change Adapter settings" located in the left menu.
  • You can also use another shortcut method from your keyboard, press ⊞ Win+R, type and then in run tab, type “ncpa.cpl” and press ↵ Enter to open the window.
2. Right-click on your wireless adapter: This may be marked "Wi-Fi", or it may have the maker's name. Select "Status" from the menu.

3. Open the Connection's Properties: Click Wireless Properties, and afterward click the Security tab.

4. Uncover the Characters: Check the "Show Characters" box and your Wi-Fi or wireless Security Key will be shown. 

Checking Saved Passwords in MAC:
1. Open the Utilities folder. You can found this folder in Apps or Applications Folder. If you are not connected to the network then its ok you are able to retrieve the password without this.

2. Open the "Keychain Access" program. This program has the functionality to save all your systems and websites passwords including all your login information. You can access your wireless password in this folder.

3. Find your network. You can found your desired network in Keychain List. Just Sort the list by "Name" and double-click the network which you need to recover the password for.

4. Display the password. Click on Check the "Show password" box. Now you have to enter your administrator password and the Wi-Fi Security Key will be revealed. 

Resetting the Router:

1. Find Reset Button on Router: if you can't recollect the login data for your router, you are able to reset it to factory defaults. This will eradicate the all of your Wireless Network Settings, and you will need to reconfigure your network. All the connections which are connected to the network will be disconnected.

2. This reset button could be found at the bottom of your router. Mostly all kinds of routers have the reset button on different locations but mostly manufacturers place this button at the bottom of the device.

3. Press and Hold the Reset Button: You need to press and hold the reset button for around 30 seconds. Your router will be totally reset and your router will be rebooting.

4. Reconfigure your Router Network: Now you have to reconfigure all your network settings and router settings. You can place your new Wi-Fi password and connect all the users with it.
