Stuck with your BlogSpot’s ranking? Don’t know how to SEO it? Do not know how to get the ranking higher for your blogger URL?Here are some Advanced Seo tips for Bloggers:
1. Social Media
Integrate Social media in your blogger account. Sites like Twitter and Facebook have really taken the internet by storm over the last couple of years. If you are not harnessing the power of social media, you are leaving money on the table. Make it easy for people to share your BlogSpot content, and follow you on the social media sites. Don’t be afraid to do a little self-promotion either. (Top Tip: If your site is new, use Twitter to get it indexed. Don’t have Twitter followers, go to Fiverr, and pay $5). A site like PingFm.com can make getting your blogger's content out to social media sites a whole lot easier. Sign up once and then your content gets delivered to about 15 social sites. Also Social Marker can make your BlogSpot posts go viral.
2. Blog Networks
Are you using blog networks to gain exposure for your blogger content? Blogging is all about getting noticed and building relationships. Blog networks are a great way of doing this. You get your content noticed and you will get traffic also. Now it takes a little time to build relationships with these networks, but when you do it can be seriously worth it. Massive exposure and traffic. You get other bloggers blogging about you which is what your ultimate goal should be. My 2 favorite blog networks are Blogengage.com and BloggersBase these networks allow you to submit your own articles for publication and also allow guest posting on their blog as well. This can really boost your profile as a blogger. Don’t rule it out.
3. RSS Feeds
How many of you reading this utilize your blogs RSS feed. A lot of people don’t understand the power of RSS (Really Simple Syndication). By submitting your RSS feed to as many directories as you can will gain you massive exposure, resulting in a lot more back links and traffic. This is the end result we are all looking for. Now to submit your RSS feed, you can either do it yourself or you can go to my favorite site Fiverr.com and pay someone $5 to submit your RSS to over 100 directories. Imagine how much time that will save you. All for $5, no brainer to me.
4. Basics
Good old SEO. Too many bloggers using BlogSpot miss this. The attitude I write for my readers not the search engines. Good and so you should. This is no reason not to do some keyword research, some on page SEO and build some back links to that post. By doing some basic SEO for your posts, you can really explode your traffic. It’s such a wasted opportunity not to do it. All you need is the keyword in the title (still make it catchy and appealing) your keyword in the post 3-4 times and then build a few back links to it. What could be simpler? Targeted traffic right to your blog.
5. Forums
Forums should be on your list as somewhere to hang out. I am not saying spend all day every day in them but a few trips a week, making some cool posts and answering questions can bring quite a bit of traffic your way. I personally hang out in Problogger forum (paid, not an affiliate link) and Blogging Tips forum. Problogger especially is a great resource full of great bloggers. New and old. Darren Rowse is very active there too, which is nice, he offers some great advice and answers your questions. This I like from a very busy blogger, whose time is gold. Shows good community spirit.
6. Email Marketing
Do you have a list of subscribers for your blog? Maybe you have a Newsletter or are giving away a free e-book. Then promote your BlogSpot URL and that week's posts to your list. Let’s say for example you have a list of 1000 people, you get a 60% open rate, that’s 600, then 20% click through to your blog. That’s 120 visitors for 1 email. Not bad. No imagine you have 5000 or 10,000, how much traffic would that bring to your blog. Highly targeted, remember they have already subscribed to you and your blog. Maybe, just maybe they are interested in what you have to say.
